A hoophouse is a must in Maine to extend the ‘shoulders’ of the growing season. This design is based upon a ‘bow-roof shed’ design. Also called a gothic arch hoophouse. Built with northern white cedar, a local softwood that resists rot. The cedar was bought in larger dimensions and milled to custom size in order to achieve a strong durable structure. Foundations are cedar set directly into earth.
